It’s officially March 9 – QCLX is here! We can’t wait to welcome you all with an awesome weekend of dancing in Charlotte!

Note about transferring passes

Please note: PASSES CANNOT BE TRANSFERRED AFTER WEDNESDAY, MARCH 7, as we will not be able to make the appropriate changes in time for the event.

We understand that things happen and plans change. Thus, QCLX passes are resellable and transferrable. You may sell your pass to someone else for no more than the current weekend pass rate. Here’s how transfers work:

The person selling the pass needs to send an email to info@qclx.org letting me know who you are selling your pass to.

The person buying the pass needs to still officially register for QCLX in order for the pass to be properly transferred.

Pancake flippers needed!

We need some pancake flippers at the Saturday late night dance. Responsibilities include pouring the pre-made batter onto the griddle, flipping at the appropriate time, and then moving the finished pancakes to a plate. That’s it!! No prior experience necessary. Electric griddles will be provided.

Housing Updates

Housing with local dancers is currently full, and we unfortunately cannot accommodate new housing requests at this time. We will be sending out housing assignments in the near future to those who registered and made their request as of Feb. 9, 2012.

LOCAL DANCERS – If you are able to offer housing, please contact us immediately at info@qclx.org.

Deadline for reserving a room at our preferred hotel has been extended to February 29. Get the details on our Housing page now.

We have some incredible venues lined up for QCLX, and we’re sure you’ll love them! They are all located within about 10 minutes of each other. We are thrilled that we’ll be able to host one dance at the lovely Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts & Culture! While at our Saturday Day dance, be sure to check out the venue’s amazing exhibits (museum pass not included in weekend pass), plus come early for our talkback on the history of Lindy Hop.
